Celebration with Wallingford In Batey50
This morning Pastor Julio and I will visit Batey 50 to see first hand DRMission Team from Wallingford CT's
50 for 50 building project. Hurricane proof houses are being built for 4400 US with donations from Connecticut and New England. The celebration is for the completion of the first houses the DR Mission Team has been building all week. We are hopeful this is a model for us in Consuelo. I will photograph the project and the people of Batey 50 to share with others.

Red Sox sighting in San Pedro!
We took the kids for lunch to McDonalds and while we were there I had the chance to meet former Red Sox player Julio Lugo. Had a pleasant conversation and he asked what brought us to the DR? I explained TCI's mission and he expressed such gratefulness to us for our work to the Dominican people, his countrymen. Anyone who knows me knows I am a huge Red Sox fan and this encounter was just a small blessing from God.
Can't wait to see what he does next!

Time with our Kids
Today we got to spend the day with our Compassion Sponsor Children. It was exciting to meet Raylins Mom, Sister, Grandma and Aunt at their home. It was a sweet time together. We then had lunch together at McDonalds and the kids played in the playground.

Morning Devotion
Miles read from John 15 this morning as we prepare to start our work "I am the vine and you are the branches he who abides in me will produce much fruit, apart from me you can do nothing" a good reminder to us that it's all about him and our connection to him that produces success or results.

Basement Systems Donates
Basement Systems employees generously donated dental supplies and did a shoe drive as well. Some of the employees really got behind the drive and reached out to the friends and neighbors to see if they would like to participate. Well, the Girl Scouts came through in a big way! As a matter of fact a young gal named Dylan took it upon herself to go the extra mile because her heart was moved to help and took her own money from savings to buy shoes to donate to TCI. Thank you Dylan and to her Mom Amy for your support and to Milly Zaleski & all the Basement Systems employees who all helped make this campaign a great success!!
